UAE Map

The Emirate at a Glance:
The Emirate of Ajman is a haven situated on the coast of the Persian Gulf between Sharjah and Ras Al-Khaimah and is the smallest of the seven Emirates. With a surface area of only 259 square kilometers, Ajman is a small Emirate, yet is also simple and sophisticated. From Dubai, Ajman can be entered via Sharjah, bringing travelers into the corniche with beautiful, sandy beaches to one side and the city spread out beautifully before their eyes on the other. Ajman is an urban-centred Emirate, with approximately 95% of the Emirate’s population living in Ajman City. Going towards Dubai from Ajman City, the urban area runs directly into the city of Sharjah along the coast to the southwest, which in turn is adjacent to Dubai, forming a continuous urban area.

Ajman offers its residents many of the shopping and entertainment amenities of Dubai without Dubai’s frenetic pace. The residents enjoy a more peaceful and stress-free existence. This is where many UAE residents come to rest, relax and play. There are many families moving to Ajman as the lifestyle is much more serene and provides an excellent atmosphere in which to raise children. Ajman property projects and developers also tend to concern themselves with lifestyle and balance. Ajman One, for example, contains amenities for all areas of life; its amenities include: shops, swimming pools, gym and community centres, with the beach a 5 minute walk away.

A variety of activities and attractions in Ajman will appeal to all types and tastes. While beach enthusiasts can enjoy any one of the beautiful beaches of Ajman, bargain shoppers would do well with a visit to the Ajman Souk, renowned for its architectural beauty. Ajman City Centre mall is another shoppers’ destination with international and local retail shops catering to a diverse range of tastes. Existing in time between Western and Arabian cultures, Ajman is an archetype of Arabian folklore.
